far as i know this was the 2nd mass shooting here since ww2... so they still stand out a bit
regular shootings have been getting more common lately tho (or just feels that way to me..who knows)

There’s some secretly morbid part of most Americans that felt like “Whew, a t least it’s not just us! ”
So now it’s j ust us 95% of the time.
Call it commiseration or whatever, but clearly this is a universal problem with humanity. Our loose gun laws are just a major contributor. The media is almost as big a contributor, but where do you start with the NRA or the media when so many dollars are changing hands? One pays politicians, the other profits from tragedy.
I’m anxious to see how quickly NZ changes their laws. And I’m also encouraged to know that guns are not a partisan issue everywhere. I’m still confused how they got that way here...
